A rapidly growing ISO accredited laboratory in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and energetic individual to join our professional laboratory staff. Position: The Sample Intake Specialist will primarily be responsible for the custody and handling of cannabis samples and following established laboratory procedures.

Duties include:

- Data entry and verification
- Order creation
- COA review and release
- Homogenizing cannabis samples
- Verifying all samples and data received
- Identifying/pursuing discrepancies in specimen info
- Sample barcode labeling
- Quality control of each workflow step
- Use of LIMS system to enter critical client and sample data
- Maintain laboratory safety standards
- Organizes work area for optimal efficiency
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

- Minimum: High school diploma and interest in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university plus at least 3 years of full-time practical laboratory experience

**- Preferred**:

- AA degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences
- A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
- A bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university
- A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - computer literate and savvy
- Ability to provide support and training for others in a team environment
- Ability to adapt well to a changing work environment.
