As we continue to grow, we are seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join us as Host/Cashiers, welcoming guests and assisting with cashier duties at our café.

As a Host/Cashier at Chat Genie Café, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests while also ensuring efficient and accurate transactions at the cashier station. Your main responsibilities will include:
**Host**:

- Greeting guests warmly as they enter the café and seating them at their tables.
- Managing the waitlist during busy periods and estimating wait times for guests.
- Providing menus and answering any questions about menu items or café policies.
- Assisting with coordinating seating arrangements and optimizing table turnover.
- Monitoring the dining area to ensure all guests are attended to and have everything they need.

**Cashier**:

- Greeting customers warmly as they approach the cashier station and assisting them with placing orders.
- Ringing up purchases accurately and processing payments, including cash, credit card, and mobile transactions.
- Providing information to customers about menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Assisting with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, and pastries.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the cashier station, including keeping the area tidy and stocked with supplies.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down equipment, cleaning tasks, and restocking supplies.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move around the café comfortably.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of coffee and café menu items preferred but not required.
- Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy periods.

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
