IT Manager

**Reports To**: Corporate IT Manager

**Duties and Responsibilities**: Directs and coordinates development and production activities of data processing departments. Confers with department heads involved with proposed projects to ensure cooperation and further define nature of projects. Analyzes management needs regarding information retrieval, data control and expanded use of computing and data processing equipment in company operations and processes. Provides guidance and counsel to management in the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems and in the design of improved systems utilizing computing and data processing equipment. Recommends the location, type, size and equipment for data processing installations including applicable machine programs within the limits of corporate policy. Recommends the staffing for Biddeford location consistent with the work. Assists in the selection of and supervises training of personnel with the limits of corporate administrative policy. Directs the preparation and installation of data processing procedures and systems, including the _design_ of source documents, technical direction of data processing operations and assistance in the format of management reports. Establishes machine schedules to obtain maximum utilization of equipment and personnel. Directs the continuing review of present systems and methods and the formulation of new and revised systems and telecommunications alternatives, examining techniques in use and determining appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
**Job Requirements**: Bachelor Degree in Computer Systems, Business, Management or Finance related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in various information system assignments and management responsibilities. Ability to prepares proposals for senior management and solicit and negotiate computer services with outside firms.
