**Pay**: The hourly pay rate for this position is $20 - $21 + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.

**Overview**

A Forklift Operator/Production Associate is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations throughout the door manufacturing process. Their duties include pulling stock/specials slabs and transporting material to and from designated areas as assigned using a Forklift.

**What you will do**:

- Read and interpret tickets to build pallets of slabs
- Operate forklift to load and/or move materials
- Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
- Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation
- Receive items into the facility/Ship all items correctly to the customer
- Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed both daily and on weekends if business need requires
- Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment
- Must understand all shipping documents in order to understand the space required for product
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned

**What you will need**:

- Prior forklift experience
- Preferably one year experience in manufacturing/production setting.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Handling/stacking requirements
- Read/interpret schedules/tickets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace, fast pace is physically demanding.
- Strong eye/hand coordination
- Standing for long continuous hours
- Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement
- Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris.
- Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to not have any disruptions in production and customer service
- Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
