As a Caregiver at Varco Home Health in our non-clinical caregiving role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our clients in their homes. Your duties will encompass a wide range of non-medical tasks, including personal care, homemaking, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship. This role requires empathy, dedication, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those we serve.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a nurturing and friendly environment.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing the client's home.
- Provide reminders for the clients medication in accordance with client-specific care plans.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or on outings, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure their comfort and well-being.

**Pay**:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- Houston, TX and surrounding areas
- Reliable transportation to assignments and between clients **(required)**

**Requirements**:

- **Compassionate and Caring Nature**: A genuine desire to help and support others, coupled with empathy and a compassionate attitude towards clients and their needs.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- **Experience**: At least 1 year of prior caregiving experience **required **(personal or professional)
- **Background Checks**: Ability to pass background checks and reference checks to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and the care team.
- **Transportation**: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are **required** to travel to client locations in Houston and the surrounding areas.
- **Flexibility**: The ability to adapt to various client needs and schedules, as caregiving may involve varying hours and responsibilities.

**First Aid/CPR Certification**:
While not mandatory, having a First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

**Shift availability**:

- Day Shift
- Morning Shift

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
