**JOB Summary***:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct MPI tests on various materials and components to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation detailing the findings and results of the tests.
- Ensure all inspections and tests are conducted in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of MPI equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Work closely with other departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality control, to address any non-conformances or issues identified during inspections.
- Perform receiving inspection, 100%-dimensional inspection and final inspection of parts and documents in accordance with Canrig and External standards when needed.
- Validating that assembly adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

One year certificate from a college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certified MPI Level 2 Inspector in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A or Equivalent standards.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a MPI level 2 inspector

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**

Experience in Magnetic Particle Inspection.

Able to review material data and determine acceptability.

Tests products for a variety of qualities (dimensions, performance and mechanical or electrical characteristics)

Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.

Prepares quality control specifications for project components.
