Cashier/stocker

**About us**

Gallops is a small business in Rome City, IN.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items for customers
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Assist customers in finding products and answer their questions
- Perform product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail setting is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide accurate change
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of retail math principles for calculating discounts, sales tax, etc.
- Experience with stock management and inventory control is a plus
- Technical sales experience or knowledge of electronic products is beneficial
- Jewelry sales experience is a plus

**Skills**:

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers
- Proficient in cash handling procedures, including counting money and providing accurate change
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially if able to communicate with customers in different languages

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 36 per week

- Day shift

Weekly day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
