Liquor Associate

**SCOPE OF POSITION**:Reporting directly to the Liquor Department Manager, Manager On Duty and/or Customer Service Manager, staffs this departments register/counter area. Assists in stocking and facing of assigned products.

**BASIC FUNCTION**: Performs duties necessary to ensure a stocked, organized and well displayed liquor department is maintained. Wait on and assist customers.

**Position Specific Requirements**:

- Must be 18 years of age.
- Previous experience working as a cashier in a retail environment is preferred. Vast knowledge of wine is desired.
- Able to perform Liquor Operations, practices and procedures within a retail grocery environment.
- Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
- Attention to detail and follow through skills.
- Good customer relations skills.
- Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
- Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices
- Do basic computer entries required for this position.
- Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner. (Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.)
- Work hours required. This includes flexible shift schedules, overtime and weekends required.
- Work in physical environment and meet physical requirements..
- Meet and maintain job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements and wear safety attire.

**EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED**: Proficient skill in operation of scanners, cash registers, calculator and basic office equipment such as a fax, copier, etc.
