Medical Records Technician

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Travel to various medical provider sites around Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas to retrieve medical records
- Occasionally retrieve medical records remotely from home using company supplied equipment
- Help schedule your onsite appointments
- Communicate project progress with Scanning Sherpas personnel
- Interact with provider office staff and Scanning Sherpas personnel in a professional manner
- Work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Compensation is performance based

Job requirements:

- Must reside in the Harrisburg, PA area
- Proficient with computers and other hardware (printers, scanners, flash drives)
- Reliable car and willingness to travel around Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas
- Proficient in medical terminology and medical records
- Proficient in learning new software programs quickly, specifically EHR, on the go without outside help
- Incredibly professional, amiable and well-mannered in stressful situations
- Meticulous and clean in the workplace
- Must pass HIPAA and FWA training tests
- Must pass a thorough criminal background check and a drug test
- Strong cell and home internet connections

**Please note that this position is seasonal where it may be very busy some months and very slow other months.

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
