**Job Summary**

- The Storekeeper I, under direct supervision, receives, stores, and distributes supplies, materials, and equipment. This includes receiving and tagging chemicals. This is a full-time position working the regular hours of Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Receives, inspects, and verifies shipments for compliance with delivery documents and purchase order specifications. Processes receiving documents. Tags, labels, etches, or marks for identification all supplies, materials, and equipment received. Applies barcodes to all chemical containers in accordance with university procedures.
- Fills store requisitions for issuing supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Routes and/or delivers supplies, materials, and equipment to designated locations.
- Ensures inventory levels by conducting physical inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner. May perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- High School Diploma, or GED, and one year of related experience.
- Working knowledge of the procedures and practices of issuing and storing supplies, materials, and equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematics; communicate effectively orally and in writing; follow directions; operate warehouse material handling equipment; operate computers and other standard office equipment; perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; lift, transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
- Physical Demands: Occasional physical work as required with warehousing may lift up to 70 pounds. Carrying up to 70 pounds. Stabilizing large loads on wheels. Lots of walking. Driving heavy equipment requiring strength and endurance.
- Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

**Salary and Benefits**
