Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital is seeking dedicated Sterile Processing Technicians to join our dynamic team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of patient care by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical equipment and instruments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and standards.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness before and after sterilization processes.
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical packs accurately, ensuring proper sterilization methods are followed.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including surgical staff, nurses, and physicians, to meet patient care needs and ensure the availability of sterile supplies.
- Adhere to infection control guidelines, safety regulations, and hospital policies to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on industry best practices, infection control protocols, and technological advancements.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program preferred.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a sterile processing department or healthcare setting preferred.
- Solid understanding of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CDC, OSHA, AAMI).
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and manual dexterity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $31.50 - $34.00 per hour
