This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. **Duties Description**

As part of the Statewide Financial System (SFS) Stakeholder Engagement Bureau, the incumbent will be responsible for change management tasks related to business process and system changes that affect end users and stakeholders of the State’s enterprise financial and accounting system. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting stakeholder communication, training, and agency business process testing.
The SFS Stakeholder Engagement Bureau collaborates with other SFS Divisions to help agencies and vendors understand how SFS functionality can support their business processes. This includes working directly with customers via targeted written communications, workshops and training sessions, and support calls as needed.
- Develop an understanding of how agencies use various SFS modules to conduct business.
- Participate in knowledge transfer and continuous learning sessions to build competency in key focus areas.
- Support Statewide Financial System users during business process changes or system updates by:

- Serving as liaison between business and IT staff; assisting with communicating requirements and system changes to stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting issues/incidents to support customers as well as monitoring for any subsequent issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely fashion.
- Interfacing with stakeholders to ensure that SFS fully understands their questions and concerns.
- Develop and review training materials and communications for system users including:

- The creation of both technical and non-technical content (communications, reference guides, training presentations, procedures, etc.).
- Ensuring stakeholder training materials, project artifacts, and communication needs are met within required timeframes (often to coincide with system updates or business events such as fiscal year end).
- The creation of procedure manuals, process flows, and other business process documentation.
- Assist with the testing of upcoming system releases and updates, noting any potential impact to business processes.
- Other related duties as assigned.
