**POSITION OVERVIEW**

This **Corporate Strategy Director** role is a key member of the Corporate Strategy team supporting the applicable business segment council in strategy development and deployment to drive differentiated, profitable growth, and strengthen McCormick’s competitive positioning. This position, working closely with the regional business leaders and cross-functional teams to align on prioritization, resource allocation and regional activation plans, leads enterprise-wide initiatives within an applicable council to deliver progress on the global strategic plan and build global scale. The Director role is also responsible for measuring progress on and the effectiveness of strategic plans.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Participate in the annual strategic planning process for the applicable global segment council to develop strategies that supports total MKC’s strategic roadmap. Lead/coordinate parts of the process as directed by the VP of Global Strategy.

Build the applicable global council’s scorecard with each LTP cycle and coordinate its completion identifying status of progress on the plan and report on the metrics and milestones to the applicable council.

Manage activation of select workstreams and related projects, including serving as the lead role as applicable, to roll out global initiatives and ensure prioritized activation plan. Also includes analyzing data and insights to inform the activation as well as adapting to new knowledge/situations.
- Work with Senior Leadership to build investor and Board of Director decks, coordinating across the regions and functions, as applicable, to deliver a global view of the applicable segment or function.
- Collaborate on projects as needed across the strategy team or the broader organization including, as an example, involvement in global innovation activities and reporting and competitive/peer benchmarking and intelligence gathering

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Economics or Business Administration.
- 10 years of progressive business, strategy, or commercial marketing experience.
- 5 years managing multiple complex projects from concept to delivery, including driving overall project plans.
- Strong people skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships and collaborate with various levels across the globe.
- Ability to influence others, with indirect authority, to meet milestones; achieve results across/through the team; and inspire innovative thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills enabling clear and concise communication of concepts in a compelling and understandable matter to the applicable audience, with connection to business objectives, actions, and strategies.
- Ability to listen to team members, understanding differing perspectives, and reach conclusion and/or adapt approaches and messages, as necessary.
- Detail oriented individual who takes ownership of events and exceptional organizational skills to plan and hit determined milestones and deliverables on deadline and on budget.
- Strong project and time management skills, clearly articulating objectives, and timelines with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize; navigate through ambiguity, obstacles, or conflicting priorities; solve problems; and efficiently drive results.
