Performs external beam treatment planning and dose calculations for radiation therapy patients' care as well as quality assurance activities and plan/chart reviews.

**JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES**

**Clinical Competencies** Competently performs external beam treatment planning and

dose calculations for safe effective radiation treatment delivery. Demonstrates accurate

and timely patient e-chart processing, calculations, chart checks and supporting quality

assurance activities. Maintains & demonstrates knowledge on all the latest guidelines,

policies and procedures specific to medical dosimetry including but not limited to, basic

competencies, skill specific competencies, and institutional and departmental policies.

**Education**
**Required**: Graduate of hospital or college affiliated medical dosimetry school with clinical and classroom curriculum for duration of one year. May substitute for required education with three years of current medical dosimetry experience.

**Certification/Licensure**
**Required**: Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) within four years of job entry.
