**Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Principal to join our educational institution. The Assistant Principal will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall administration and management of the school, with a focus on discipline, staff evaluation, leadership team collaboration, and instructional support. Reporting directly to the Principal, the Assistant Principal will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure a positive and effective learning environment for students and professional development opportunities for staff.

**Responsibilities**:
**Discipline Management**:

- Implement and enforce school discipline policies and procedures.
- Address disciplinary issues in collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
- Foster a positive school culture conducive to learning and growth.

**Collaborative Leadership**:

- Participate in Team Meetings.
- Attend and present at Board Meetings on relevant school matters.
- Serve as a member of the Building Leadership Team (BLT) and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Coordinate after-school building meetings and Teacher Institute Days with the BLT.

**Staff Evaluation and Support**:

- Evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff as assigned.
- Assist in the development of professional development initiatives and coaching plans for teachers.
- Support instructional development and curriculum understanding among all staff.

**Parent and Community Engagement**:

- Assist with the development of Parent Universities in collaboration with the District Leadership Team (DLT) and BLT.
- Coordinate 8th-grade activities, including trips, parent meetings, and graduation.
- Serve as the Transportation Coordinator for school events and field trips.
- Support initiatives related to Prekindergarten, homeless students, and parent volunteering.

**Instructional Support and Curriculum Development**:

- Provide direction and coordination for teaching consistent with district initiatives and best instructional practices.
- Assist teachers with resources, planning, and pacing of lessons, and the selection of best practices.
- Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement and professional growth.
- Utilize Adult Learning Theory to motivate and support teacher professional development.
- Contribute to the development of systems and structures to improve teacher practice within the school.
- Analyze data to improve instructional practices.

**Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain an inventory of textbooks and instructional materials.
- Assist in curriculum adoption and development processes.
- Oversee gifted/enrichment programming within the school.

**Qualifications**:

- Must possess a Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Education Administration.
- Ability to build positive relationships, and work with all stakeholders in a positive manner. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous experience in education leadership roles with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of educational best practices, analyzing data, curriculum development, and instructional coaching techniques.
