Landscape Foreman

Strittmatter Contracting, LLC. is an established, growing excavation and site-development company working in the entire Metropolitan D.C.area. The company needs additional Back-fill Foremen for newly awarded commercial, government and multi-residential projects in the district and surrounding area.

This position will oversee and manage a team who will conduct landscape grading and heavy machinery operation. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Landscape Foremen who is safety-minded and efficient.

Landscape Foremen Skills and Experience:

- Ability to operate construction equipment
- Must be able to measure pitch, grade, etc.
- Know-how of irrigation piping
- Familiarity with Utility marks and hazards associated with above-ground and below-ground utilities
- Capable of lifting to 100 pounds repeatedly during the workday
- Know-how of thatching, debris removal, and hauling

Landscape Foremen Requirements:

- Must have strong leadership and management qualities
- Capable of working in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office
- Must have a clean driver’s record
- Must have the ability to read construction plans and drawings
- Prior experience managing a crew
- Must be safety-minded
- Ability to communicate with others professionally in English, ( Spanish is a plus)
- Must be available for Saturday work
- Must be willing to drive to Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia

Pay: Up to $85,000.00

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Foreman: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- OSHA 10 (preferred)
- OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Driver's License (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Sandy Spring, MD (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Sandy Spring, MD: Relocate before starting work (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)
