**Electrical Technician**
- **Alsip, IL**:

- **Hiring for 2ND and 3RD SHIFTS**:

- **$35-$43/hr depending on experience**
- **Summary**_

Repairs and maintains electrical, mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic components of production machines and equipment.
- _Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned._*
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot PLC’s, VFD’s, and sensors.
- Expedite repairs for unscheduled maintenance jobs in most efficient and timely procedure.
- Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Finds and order parts when needed.
- Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.
- Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Assists Engineer to modify sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components such as schematics.
- May be required to work with Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics on jobs when needed.
- **Qualifications**_
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of four-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements.
- Complete jobs with an eye to maintaining and improving product quality, productivity and personnel safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Good time management skills and organization skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand frequently throughout an eight-hour shift.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
