Equilibrium Physical Therapy is a boutique private outpatient Physical Therapy practice located on the Upper East Side. We are seeking a friendly and proactive receptionist to be our new lead care coordinator. Previous experience in reception is great, but we are more focused on finding the right person with a warm and positive energy.

You will be the face and voice of our practice You will help create a friendly and warm atmosphere when patients enter the clinic and a comforting voice on the phone to represent the boutique style of our practice.

**Receptionist**

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the PT’s schedule - add, adjust, cancel appointments
- Greets and checks in/out patients
- Calls late and no-show patients. Ensures they understand the late cancellation policy.
- Collects daily copay as patient checks out of their appointment.
- All inbound calls. Answer the patient’s request or when needed redirect the call to the Patient Care Coordinator (Rx concerns), Office Manager (escalated to a supervisor, some insurance/invoice questions), or Billing Manager (more complex invoices/insurance questions).
- Laundry, clinic maintenance, general tidying
- Collects new patient paperwork and confirms it is completed correctly. Scans Rx and insurance cards for all new and past returning patients.
- Has an in-depth understanding of Physical Therapy and our practice, what our clinic offers, how we are different, etc. so conversations with patients are formal and informative.

**Required Skills**:
A consistently upbeat attitude with an appreciation for teamwork. Excellent communication and writing skills. Proven success in customer service and customer relations. Proven success maintaining productivity in all environments (able to handle fast-pace and be productive during "downtime"). A strong command of medical insurance terminology and experience with medical intakes and claims verification is helpful. Proficiency with Microsoft office: Word, Excel; able to learn and master other software.
