Colby-Sawyer College seeks a Director and Teacher for the Windy Hill Lab School, to direct the school's educational programs, facility operations and staff in collaboration with the college's Child Development program and other interested members of the college community. The Director will also teach in the Windy Hill classrooms as needed.

**Responsibilities
- Plans and implements educational programs that advance the school’s vision, mission and goals, including curriculum planning and evaluation, enrollment and parent relations.
- Supervises teaching and support staff, including hiring, orientation, coaching, skills training and career development. Develops and sustains a collegial team environment that enables the best possible education for the school’s enrollees.
- Develops policies, procedures and standard practices that conform with regulatory and accreditation standards while facilitating an optimal educational experience.
- Ensures school facilities and equipment operate efficiently, sustainably and safely.
- Plans, implements and administers the school’s budget, ensuring judicious use of funding.
- Directs proper maintenance of school records **as required by NH Child Care Program Licensing Rules **and generates regular and ad hoc reports of the school’s performance.
- Directs events, activities and communications that advance educational goals and enhance the school’s reputation in the local community.
- Confers with faculty, administrative and external colleagues to communicate information and exchange ideas that benefit the school.
- Engages with the Advancement Department on fund-raising campaigns.
- Performs Research on the latest early childhood education trends, incorporating new evidence-based approaches into the school’s programs.
- Teaches in the Windy Hill classroom when and as needed.
- Master’s degree in early childhood education.
- Experience in early childhood teaching, curriculum planning, supervision of teaching and support staff, and school facilities management.
- Knowledge of current developments in early childhood education.
- Knowledge of organizational budget planning and accounting.
- Skill in supervising others and building collegial work teams.
- Skill in using Microsoft Office software.
- Able to interact and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff colleagues, students, parents, accrediting agencies, local school officials, donors, vendors and other lab school affiliates.
- Able to work during occasional evenings and weekends, primarily to attend events.
