Part-time Bookkeeper

**Bookkeeper (6 - 8 hours per week in person)**
**Reports To**: This position reports to the Office Manager for all administrative purposes
with a dotted line reporting to the Treasurer for technical work direction
**Purpose**: To provide an accurate accounting of money received and disbursed.
**Qualifications**:
- Commitment to confidentiality in all matters of finance and personnel
- Associates Degree Preferred
- 3 years professional bookkeeping experience in a business or non-profit
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, payroll software, MS Word and Excel
- Self-directed, attention to detail, and precision in account reconciliation and reports generation
- Ability to “ramp up” to meet year end demand and for the Annual Meeting in January
- Willingness to work within the unique aspects of a volunteer organization
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage chart of accounts, and provide effective data entry for all ministry accounts according to acceptable principles and best practices
- Run standard and custom financial reports monthly or as requested
- Assist in preparing financial reports for Church’s annual meeting
- Manage accounts receivable, process weekly contributions and make bank deposits
- Record all cash, checks, and online contributions for donations and events into the appropriate ministry accounts(s)
- Prepare and send quarterly statements to the congregation as well as assist the congregations regarding their giving or property designation of their giving.
- Enter all accounts payable and prepare checks for signature and mailing.
- Reconcile checking and credit card accounts
- Process payroll on a biweekly basis and track staff vacation and sick time off
- Perform worker’s comp audit
- Provide employees ad subcontractors end of year W-2’s and 1099’s
- Occasional tasks related to reports, compliance, and audits
- Organize and secure storage of all digital and paper financial records.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 8 per week
