- Collaborate closely with the Business Manager and Seed Business Team to determine short and long-term seed forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Gather and manage data necessary for developing purchasing and forecasting tools, incorporating sales, bookings, crop status, and market trends.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros, to efficiently analyze and manipulate data.
- Assist IT in maintaining product and item statuses within Griffin’s online ordering system.
- Manually input prices for direct ship sales orders.
- Provide pertinent sales information to Customer Care and Sales Representatives as required for key accounts.
- Assist Seed Business Manager with quoting during peak seasons.
- Offer support to Seed Team members as required.
- Coordinate the preparation and mailing of catalogs, order forms, and price books.
- Generate sales reports crucial for supporting seed territory management and pricing reviews.
- Collaborate with the quality supervisor to produce yearly inventory review reports for managing long, aging, below standard, or obsolete stock.
- Participate in vendor meetings to evaluate new programs, pricing structures, and review previous performance.
- This position requires regular and reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Education**:

- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Horticulture, Business, or a related field, preferred, but not required.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years of prior experience in procurement.
- 1-2 years Advanced Excel Skills such as PivotTables, advanced formulas, and macros enable efficient data analysis and manipulation, crucial for this role.
- 1-2 years strong expertise in Microsoft databases, preferrable MS Access or similar products.
- Demonstrated interest in or willingness to learn about diverse flower seed products.
- Capacity to rapidly grasp comprehensive knowledge of seed operations and customer requirements.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
- Knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and industry developments.
- Familiarity with forecasting principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in data management processes and database systems.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements governing data management and
- forecasting practices.
- Analytical skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
- Forecasting skills to develop accurate predictions based on historical data and market analysis.
- Proficiency in data management, including maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Report writing and presentation skills to communicate findings and forecasts effectively.
- Collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and gather input for forecasting.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust forecasting models accordingly.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on data analysis.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail while managing.

**Work Setting**: Primarily works in a professional office environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
