Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle/Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely medical billing and coding processes. Your expertise in medical records, coding, and collections will contribute to the financial success of our organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, appealing when necessary
- Coordinate with medical office staff to obtain missing or additional information for claims submission
- Resolve billing discrepancies and answer patient inquiries regarding their accounts
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes
- Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to identify opportunities for process improvement

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and CPT coding
- Familiarity with medical office operations and workflows
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
