Forged Components is looking for a skilled Blacksmith for our Navasota campus.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs and coordinates the forging processes of the organization’s products.

Specific responsibilities may include:

- Review, organize and plan daily production schedule.
- Verify tooling availability and die set up.
- Verify furnace temperature.
- Verify as forged dimensional quality.
- Verify accuracy of forge orders and following heating and forging and forging work instructions.
- Provide Quality Control and Forge Shop Supervisors feedback on forging and/or heating procedures.
- Maintain Traceability and Identification of product.
- Return paper work to forge shop office as required.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Direct manipulator drivers and floor hands to ensure a quality forging.
- Support and participate in FCI’s continual improvement program to conform ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Comply with Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.

3.0 requirements

3.1 education and training
- High School or equivalent preferred.

3.2 experience
- 3 year relevant experience.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.

3.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret forging drawings and written specifications.
- Ability to understand and use of basic math.
- Knowledge of forging process.

3.4 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY
- Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
- Able to lift 50lbs. (may be different for office /administrative employees).
- Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
- Exposure with production environment

- Works with mínimal supervision.

We offer competitive pay based on experience.

Pay: $20.20 - $25.00 per hour
