As the Foster Care Services Lead Clinician, your role involves overseeing the delivery of clinical services within the foster care program. This includes providing consultation and trauma-informed expertise to promote stable placements, offering training for new staff, and supervising clinicians directly.
**Requirements**:
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling)
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Clinician (QMHP, LCSW, LPC, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and behavioral health practices
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to assess and diagnose mental health conditions, including PTSD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, art therapy, and behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
