Medical Secretary

Check 30+ patients in and out of the medical clinic per day, including scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays/deductibles
- Verify insurance coverage for all new patients and monitor existing patients' insurance coverage for potential changes
- Process Referral as needed
- Fax, copy, and scan appropriate documents and operate a multi-line phone system
- Gather new patient information visit via patient information sheet and handle all phone calls coming in and out of the office
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Take messages from external medical offices and physicians

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSING QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1+ years of medical office / customer service experience required. Knowledge of various insurance plans/payers (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid) is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment while remaining organized and professional.
- Prior EMR experience; EPIC EMR is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
