Bilingual Administrative Assistant in Mushroom Farm

Giorgi Mushroom has the following opportunity available at our Blandon location for a **Harvesting Department Assistant.**

This is an hourly position working around 48 hours weekly. Each work week includes one weekend day. Work hours normally starts at 5:00 a.m. Finish time 3:00 p.m. The starting and ending times may sometimes change depending on daily production.

**Work location**: Giorgi Mushroom Co. - 1161 Park Rd, Blandon PA 19510

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate and updated records of production and employee attendance within the harvesting department through the Workforce, ADS, and Cropsys systems to support the department's payroll process.
- Timely submission of relevant information to the Human Resources department and collaborate in maintaining personnel records.
- Organize and distribute paychecks promptly along with any verbal or written communication to employees.
- Provide support to harvesting staff, including initial training, performance monitoring, and on-site problem-solving.
- Offer general administrative support to the harvesting team and other departments as needed, including document management, scheduling weekly meetings, and preparing reports and presentations.
- Facilitate internal communication within the harvesting department between employees and supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to food safety and good agricultural practices.
- Collaborate with the harvesting supervisors to ensure quality standards are maintained during the harvesting process, conducting regular inspections and taking corrective actions, as necessary.
- Report any issues or incidents arising during the harvesting process to the supervisor, providing detailed information and suggestions for resolution.

**Education/Experience**
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable through company vehicle program.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in the agricultural or food sector.
- Ability to communicate orally (English & Spanish).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal along with strong organizational skills.

EOE/Drug Free Workplace

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 - 52 per week
