OVERVIEWOVERVIEW
The position of Contents Technician is to perform contents pack out, contents cleaning, pack back of contents and structural cleaning. This is an AT WILL position.
SUPERVISION
Receives general direction from the Contents Supervisor, and/or Project Manager.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedule, clean, pack and document all projects.
- Pack, move, clean and inventory physically damaged personal property from water or fire incidents.
- Decontaminate a wide variety of items and areas on a project.
- Working with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and insurance agents.
- Prevent and protect SDKI against liability and loss relating to Care Control and Custody of a customer’s personal property.
- Detailed cleaning and some structure demolition.
- Promote a safe work environment, using safety precautions and procedures for all functions of the position and the project.
- Communicate a positive image of the company to co-workers and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ability to:
- Work in adverse conditions for extended periods of time.
- Work on call and in all emergency situations as needed.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills including read and write the English language.
- Produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the Company.
Knowledge of:
- Restoration industry as it relates to property damage restoration.
- Cooperate and respect for others. Working in a close office environment and working with others to respect ideas and opinions.
- Developing and presenting creative solutions.
- Laws, rules and regulations that govern the areas of your job, the restoration industry including but not limited to your scope of work.
- Industry knowledge and the ability to seek knowledge if new to the industry.
- The Company ethics, image and goals and how they shall be reflected in the day to day job duties of you and your staff.
- OSHA safety regulations of the industry and provide an active role in monitoring the safety of yourself and other team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Some experience working in contents work or structural cleaning is preferred but not required.
LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid State driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background screening check.
Pay: $14.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
