Summary:
Manages highly complex Information Services (IS) projects from conception to completion including

scope of management, timelines, and budget. Provides leadership to project teams and junior

members of project management. Adheres to Sutter Health project methodology standards, tools,

and processes. Is accountable for each assigned project and the overall coordination, status reporting,

and stability of project oriented work efforts.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Management:

- Develop the architecture concerning the project plan structure.
- Manage issues, risks, and/or project scope change management processes, and run reports.
- Approve and oversee project documentation and status reporting.
- Monitor, report, and coordinate implementation progress compared to plan, and works with others

to resolve issues jeopardizing project plan timelines.
- Update project plans for IS projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information

specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate with project team members to identify and resolve problems.
- Support project team members in communicating, identifying, categorizing, prioritizing and

quantifying risks, issues, and develop plans for mitigation as well as the use of tools and

methodologies.

Leadership:

- Lead development of project charter.
- Identify required resources across services lines as well as across regional affiliates.
- Communicate and disseminate information related to timelines and deliverables to other team

members.
- Assist in the development of the project training program and related materials.
- Oversee the management of scope, issues, risks, work plans, deliverables, communications, assigned

staff, vendor(s), and budget across multiple concurrent projects.
- May negotiate resource assignment and schedule including overall timeline and key deliverables.
- Responsible for providing coaching, education, and support for project team members on principles

and techniques of effective project management and project plan deliverables.

Project & Administrative Support:

- Ensure workspace is available and accessible to all team members.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years of recent experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of general Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), project management

methodologies and/or Sutter Health’s project methodology and project management methodology.

Expertise in Microsoft Project and Office Suite.

Ability to use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate

thoughts and ideas.

Ability to make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide

information and instruction.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and

levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.

Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify

patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective

conclusions.

Ability to maintain schedule within project server.

Ability to organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.

Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with mínimal direction.

Pay: $58.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
