Thornhill & Associates is an independent adjusting and private investigation company which provides personal, customized, and timely responses to our customers needs. We serve Southern California and the Bay Area.

**Position**: Casualty Field Adjuster - Southern CA

As an independent casualty field adjuster, you will be driving to various locations in the LA, Ventura, Orange and surrounding counties.

The position requires that you meet face-to-face with individuals involved in a loss. Assignments include various tasks associated with a claim, including attending legal hearings. You will be expected to organize your day with incoming assignments to ensure that clients receive a timely work product and that you meet the company’s expectations with regard to time and quality. Customer service is our priority, and our goal is to make our clients jobs easier.

**Duties**:

- Handle various tasks related to a casualty claim in the field. These can include but not limited to meeting with insureds, claimants and witnesses for signed documents and statements. Conducting scene investigations and securing vehicle photos. Attending Small Claims Court, Mediations MSC’s and trials. Serving subpoenas and sub-rosa.
- Comply with Thornhill & Associates requirements for completing job responsibilities and reporting.
- Conducting cold calls and meeting with people.
- Preparing reports and keeping accurate time logs.
- Attend in-person and virtual team meetings as requested.
- Practice safe working habits including taking all required Covid precautions.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of four years of casualty claims.
- Knowledge of litigated claims.
- Investigating claims in the field preferred.
- Must own a computer with Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong writing and verbal skills
- A reliable car with full insurance coverage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
