The Town of Rutland is seeking to fill the part-time position of Finance Clerk. This position is currently scheduled for 15 hours a week, Monday through Thursday with room for future growth. This is a non-benefitted position.

Position requires a detail-oriented person with strong organizational and customer service skills. Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn new programs and software is required.

Responsibilities include answering questions from the public regarding all aspects of the Treasurer/Collector’s office including about tax, excise & utility bills. This position will assist residents in navigating the Town website and online payment platform and will be able to confirm receipt and history of payments upon request. Accounts Payable responsibilities include assisting the Treasurer Collector with preparation, organization and reconciling of invoices along with distribution of payments. Additional tasks will be assigned by the Treasurer/Collector as needed.
