Lab Technician

Environmental/Chemistry Degree Preferred

**Job Description**-Bachelors in Environmental or Chemistry
- FTIR, Spectroscopy, XRF
- Wet Chemistry

Perform routine and semi-routine chemical and physical analyses on a limited variety of materials for the support of fluid analysis, research and development, and production activities with guidance of higher level technicians and chemists.
- Understanding of laboratory tests to be performed on process chemicals/fluids
- Adhere to the principles of the Quality System
- Perform tests per defined methods.
- Record data in accurate and concise manner
- Recognize and react to out of spec data
- Report data to internal customers
- Make laboratory preparations under supervision
- Help keep laboratory clean and all equipment in good working order
- Complete assigned work in a timely fashion
- Adhere to all lab safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
- Provide support to lower level technicians
- Perform new procedures without direct supervision
- Calibrate and maintain equipment
- Interaction with internal and/or external customers
- Report data to internal and external customers

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**-Bachelors in Environmental or Chemistry
- Wet Chemistry - ph meter, titration, extraction
- Familiarity/Experience with FTIR, Spectroscopy, XR

**Work Environment**

First Shift (40 Hours):
7:30 - 4:30 (willing to have you start as early as 7am or as late as 8:30am)

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
