**Job Overview**:This is a part-time role, averaging 5-15 hours per week. Hours vary based upon client needs and are not guaranteed. Applicants should be in the market for part-time or **supplemental income **and be able to provide set weekly availability. Operating hours are 9 am to 4 pm, and applicants should be able to commit to one on-call shift per week. Dog walking or animal handling experience is a must

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Have 1+ years of experience working with dogs and cats in a business or shelter/rescue environment, and a willingness to learn
- Have the ability to handle large dogs and multiple dogs at once; must be able to lift up to 150 lbs.
- Have 1+ years of customer service experience and a customer-focused mentality
- Have a flexible schedule with on-call availability
- Ability to work between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm
- Weekend and holiday availability (holiday work is required)
- Possess an impeccable attention to detail
- Be tech-savvy and the ability to learn a new software
- Have an interest in learning how a local, small business operates and possess a desire to grow within the company
- Have the ability and willingness to transport pets in their cars to/from off-site hikes, during emergencies, or as needed

**What You Might Not Love About The Job**:

- Your schedule will depend on client demand, which means that we do not guarantee the same number of hours each week. This role is best for the dedicated individual looking for supplemental income.
- Lots of driving We do provide a reimbursement for miles travelled and pay hourly, including time in the car.
- We can't control the crazy Florida weather. You'll be outside in the heat and rain
- Dog walks take place all over town, which means that the bulk of your work will be on your own. You should enjoy working independently and be able to time manage and complete tasks without direct supervision.

**The Must-Haves**
- A positive attitude, resiliency, adaptability in an ever-changing environment, client interaction skills and proven communication skills
- Ability to work 9 am to 4 pm, 3-5 days/week
- Reliable transportation and a newly released iPhone or smart phone
- Dependability - The pets are counting on you
- Ability to lift, control and care for pets of all sizes and demeanors (Great Danes included)
- Ability to commit to one on-call shift per week
