**Work Year: As needed throughout the 2022-2023 school year**

**Supervisory Responsibilities: None**
- DISTRICT 97 EXPECTATIONS- All District 97 employees are expected to:- Support all aspects of a student’s development (social/emotional, academic, physical, artistic expression) through caring and respectful relationships
Take collective responsibility for providing equitable opportunities and supporting learning environment for students
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and staff
- GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the students while they are eating lunch or outside during recess- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist students with emotional/behavioral needs in the lunchroom/recess setting.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Assist with the safe entry and exit of students
Provide student reminders as needed.
Manage and support students with a variety of abilities.
Provide direction and assistance to students in an emergency situation.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Ability to remain patient and respect the needs of students.
Ability to effectively communicate with students.
Understanding of and respect for the educational process and significance.
- EDUCATION, CREDENTIALING and/or EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma
