**Role : Mendix Architect**

**Location : Houston, TX**

**Type : Contract or FTE**

Experience: 12 to 18 years

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the evaluation and selection of technology solutions, frameworks, and tools that enhance the Mendix platform's capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Mendix.
- Architect end-to-end solutions that encompass integrations with external systems, data management, security, and scalability considerations.
- Design and implement custom modules, Microservices, and APIs within the Mendix platform to meet project requirements.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on design principles, coding standards, and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in low-code development, contributing insights and recommendations to drive innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience with the Mendix platform.
- Proficiency in Mendix development, including expertise in Microflows, Domain Models, and UI design.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience in leading architecture initiatives and guiding development teams in delivering complex solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze requirements and propose innovative solutions.
- Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) for project management and collaboration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Mendix Advanced Developer Certification is preferred.

Preferred:

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Previous experience in mentoring and coaching junior architects and developers.
- Active participation in the Mendix community through forums, meetupsTop of Form

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
