**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Floor Clock Movement Installer and Cabinet Final Assembly

**General Summary / Basic Function**:
Primary Responsibilities: Under general supervision, uses small hand and power tools to install clock movement, dial, hands chime bar, and other components into floor clocks. Adjusts chimes and positions hands for proper operation. Preps collector cabinets and other floor cabinets for final packaging. Performs cabinet final assembly by installing back panels, mirrors, and other components in floor clocks and cabinets.

Potential exists to participate in a Master Clock Builder Progression/Apprentice Plan

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Arranges workstation such that tools, parts, and materials are as efficiently arranged as possible in order to minimize wasted motion/time.

2. Uses small power and hand tools to install chime bar, movement, dial, hand, etc.

3. Aligns hands and performs necessary adjustments to synchronize with the movement.

4. Adjusts the chime hammers to achieve sound quality.

5. Performs checks as necessary.

6. Visually checks other features (moon dial, day/night shut-off, etc) to determine they are working appropriately.

7. Installed back panels, mirrors, drawers, doors, and other assembly in floor cabinets.

8. Performs general quality inspection of cabinets and components.

9. Once mastered floor clocks, learn how to perform similar processes and procedure with quartz movements/clocks, wall and mantel mechanical and quartz clocks, and how to perform run test and recheck.

10. Other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Abilities Required**:
1. Physical ability for prolonged standing and use of hands and arms to lift, install, and manipulate components. Ability to slide clocks short distances to and from workstation.

2. This position requires close attention to detail

3. A delicate sense of touch or “feel” is necessary when bending/manipulating chime hammers.

4. The ability to work at a sustained, steady pace to meet or exceed production rates.

5. Ability to regularly lift up to 25#

6. Good vision and hearing

7. Ability to use hand and power tools.

8. Ability to work with mínimal supervision

9. Ability to work independently or in a team environment

**Knowledge and Experience Required**:
1. A High School level of knowledge and education

2. Strong mechanical aptitude

**Working Conditions**

1. Conditions are relatively clean and quiet.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
