Server/bartender

Excellent income opportunity Upscale restaurant serving American cuisine is looking for a part-time food server/bartender to join the team. We offer a fun work environment with a strong emphasis on team based performance. We feature live music on weekends and generate a nice crowd. We also offer full-service on premise catering with plenty of opportunity to make additional income. This is a tipped position.

We're looking for servers/bartenders who are responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers and who can work private catering parties and events. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.

Server/Bartender Responsibilities:

- Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Collect payments from tables
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
- Perform opening and closing tasks to ensure cleanliness of the restaurant
- Help food preparation staff when necessary
- Assist with bussing tables as necessary
- Work catering parties and provided outstanding customer service to guests
- Server Requirements
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Run food from kitchen to tables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 29 per week
