**Job Overview**

Wallace-Thompson Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail MRO Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our retail facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our staff and customers. This role requires a strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems. Additionally, you will handle the delivery and installation of major appliances, assembly of products, and train other associates on these tasks. You also will manage our Stihl power equipment department sales as well as perform in and out of warranty repairs and provide training for associates to assist with these duties.

To ensure you are well-equipped for your role, we will provide full training and cover all costs related to obtaining Stihl power equipment certification.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Maintenance & Repairs**:

- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, plumbing leaks, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- **Appliance Delivery & Installation**:

- Safely deliver and install major appliances for customers and in-store displays.
- Test installed appliances to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- **Training & Supervision**:

- Train and guide other associates on maintenance, repair, and installation procedures.
- Develop and update training materials and safety protocols.
- **Organization & Safety**:

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

**Qualifications**
- **Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general mechanical repairs.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to train others.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy appliances and equipment.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $68,500.00 per year
