Journalist/writer - Multi-skilled

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Journalist to join Building Indiana Business Media Group. As a Journalist, you will be responsible for the editorial in Building Indiana Business, which includes print, social and web. You will cover a wide range of topics and contribute to the editorial lineup.

Primary Accountabilities:

- Produce original editorial content that is aligned with the brand
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news stories and articles
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style
- Conduct interviews with sources to gather firsthand information
- Maintain dedication to accuracy, fairness, and ethics.
- Prepare copy for use on-line and social/web
- Stay up-to-date with current events and trends in order to provide timely and relevant news coverage
- Work well with team to produce outstanding product(s).

**Experience**:

- Results orientated and Innovative
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proven experience as a Journalist or similar role
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to receive construction feedback and adjust accordingly
- Proficient in copy editing and proofreading
- Ability to conduct thorough research on various topics
- Familiarity with AP style guidelines
- Experience in copywriting is a plus
- Knowledge of photography techniques is a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
