We are looking for someone who is friendly and dependable to work in the overnights at the front desk of an independent senior living community This is a part-time, Security Receptionist role working every week Friday and Saturday overnight from 11p-7a, 1-2 holidays per year, with occasional fill-in availability during the week.

**Job Purpose**:
The Overnight Receptionist provides front desk and security functions for the community.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Carries cordless phone and answers incoming calls to the community in a helpful, friendly manner. Answers questions, provides assistance, or takes and delivers messages accurately.
- Responds to resident requests for assistance or emergency situations.
- Interacts with residents and staff in a professional, friendly and compassionate manner at all times.
- Perform light public area cleaning including disinfecting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming and trash & recycling pick-up/disposal
- Washes, dries, and folds resident laundry and/or bed linens.
- Ensures all doors to the community are locked and secured by doing regular rounds.
- Understands emergency procedures and MSDS procedures for all chemicals used.
- Understands procedures for blood removal.
- Follows all OSHA, Fire, Health Department and safety requirements.
- Demonstrates high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Job requires walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.

**Qualifications**:

- One year reception experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competent in organization and time management.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, and work independently.
- Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees.
- Demonstrate desire to be a team player.
- Regular attendance is required.

**Working conditions**:

- May require working with challenging residents.
- Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and vendors.
- Occasional weekend, evening, night and holiday work if needed.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections.

**Physical requirements**
- Walk; sit; stand, sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Talk and hear.
- Ability to push, pull or lift: Up to 25 pounds.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
