The Woman’s Center for Advanced Pelvic Surgery is the premier center in Arizona dedicated to treating female pelvic floor disorders such as urinary and fecal incontinence, bladder and bowel dysfunction, and pelvic organ prolapse. The center provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options for women with pelvic floor disorders.

We are looking for a clinical medical assistant to join the team of three physicians, four nurse practitioners, one physical therapist, and multiple other medical assistants. Our center requires a lot of follow up with patients recovering from surgery at home, this position is intended to take that responsibility.

JOB DUTIES:

- Room patients on a daily basis
- Obtain vitals, review social, medical, and family history. Document in electronic medical records.
- Triage patient phone calls
- Room prep - wipe down and disinfect and prepare for each patient
- Assist providers with lab results and patient questions
- Perform post operative and catheterizing follow up calls

Further Responsibilities:

- Assisting the providers in minor procedures and after adequate training
- Assisting patients with voiding trials, catheter care, and teaching self-catheterization.
- Other clerical work will include FMLA paperwork, scheduling patients for post-operative appointments, and on occasion prior authorizations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Prefer 1 year of medical assisting
- Urogynecology/ OBGYN/ Urology experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with EMR, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Flexible and adaptable

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
