Groundsperson/vegetation Tech

Become a Veg Tech at Hotshot Arbor Care and do things right, the first time. Duties include:
- Performs vegetation clearing tasks
- Safely utilizes small vegetation management tools and equipment such as, loppers, pole saws, leaf blowers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance tasks
- Conduct daily inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and completes reporting logs
- Uses and maintains appropriate and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and observes all safety protocols at all times
- Reports any issues or safety hazards to Crew Leads or relevant parties - Speak Up Culture
- Assists in achieving zero injury culture through support of safety programs and actively participating in safety meetings and trainings
- Other related vegetation and maintenance tasks at an equivalent level
- Identifies if clearance is required or if structure meets approved exception.

**Qualifications**:
The Essentials-
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License

The Preferred- 1 year vegetation management or landscaping experience
- Completion of ICS-100 Introduction to ICS
- Completion of S-130 Firefighter Training
- Completion of IS-700/IS700a NIMS: An introduction
- Completion of RT-130 Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher including fire shelter (WFSTAR) Training
- Completion of S-212 Wildland Fire Chain Saws Training
