**Overview**

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) at URBN Inc. plays a pivotal role in the Solution Delivery group, supporting the development and delivery of omnichannel ecommerce products. Working closely with Solution Delivery Team Leads, the BSA collaborates with various teams to optimize URBN’s core web, mobile and platform services, ensuring software quality, scalability, and completeness.

**Responsibilities**
- Support 1-2 Scrum teams in technical solution design, grooming activities, and development as a Technical Product Owner in partnership with Platform Services/Web/Mobile System Analysts, Product Managers, Engineering Tech Leads and Architects.
- Act as a liaison between URBN’s IT Organization and Engineering Group and multiple groups within the Digital Product Organization, including Product Management and User Experience Design.
- Support the coordination of cross-team dependencies by understanding the incremental deliveries of downstream systems and how those dependencies affect the ability of the engineering teams to complete work.
- Prioritize incoming inquiries, research issues across multiple functions and systems, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions to resolve low to moderate complexity issues.
- Assess potential risk against delivery effort when evaluating business requirements and negotiating priorities with business partners.
- Ensure the quality of and help maintain the URBN product backlog through Atlassian’s JIRA issue and project tracking tool in partnership with digital product managers and Engineering leads.
- Steward the quality of URBN system architecture by advocating allocation towards technical debt, code clean-up, and test coverage during intermittent periods between feature releases.

**Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in IT/digital technology environment, with expertise in program/project management, data/system analysis, and technical requirements definition.
- Well-rounded experience delivering integrated software solutions over complex system architecture and dependencies spanning multiple teams.
- Adequate understanding of RESTful services, including experience with planning, integration, and delivery. Exposure to Python programming language is advantageous.

**Education**

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
