Mini Excavator Operator

### Duties:

- Digging trenches and excavating areas for construction projects
- Operating front loader trucks and other heavy equipment
- Assisting with utility locating and marking
- Operating forklifts to move materials and equipment
- Reading blueprints and following instructions for concrete forming
- Finishing concrete surfaces to ensure smooth and level results
- Other tasks required to complete the project.
- Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repairs.
- Excavate rock, ore or other materials from open-pit mines, strip mines, quarries or construction pits.
- Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.

## Qualifications:

- Previous experience in labor-intensive roles, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as loaders and forklifts
- Knowledge of utility locating procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with concrete finishing techniques is a plus
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Extended hours
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Year round work
