Patient Access Registrar

**The responsibilities of the Patient Access Registrar include, but are not limited to**:
- Registers all patients coming to Thorek's Emergency Department and in the outpatient clinics
- Admits patients through the hospital
- Scans ID’s, insurance cards and other documents as needed
- Uses proper phone etiquette internally and externally to answer departments phones and can route and direct calls to appropriate sources within or outside Thorek Memorial Hospital
**Requirements**:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance processes
- Strong customer service and organizational skills required
- Experience on the Meditech system or similar software preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
