**The primary responsibility of the cashier is**:

- Responsible for entering all transactions into the ledger and into the computer system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Compiles and reconciles daily deposit.
- Reconciles daily batches to ensure data integrity.
- Tracks enrollment and re-enrollment requirements for providers and the facility.
- Review and corrects the inappropriate credit balances after posting.
- The ability to critically evaluate data retrieved across multiple platforms.
- Gather and analyze data to locate and track gaps in data processing.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to ensure optimal processing functions that impact billing and claims activity.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Strong presence, professional image, and confidence in dealing with complex billing and reimbursement issues.
- Knowledge of frontdesk billing regulations, fee schedules, third party billing.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and marketing information systems.
