Strength Coach

Reports to: Athletic Director, Building Principal
Begins: July 1, 2024, negotiable
Work Days: 260 days/12 months, hours TBD
Performance Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a strength and conditional program for all sports including in-season, off-season, and pre-season for all school-sanctioned athletic programs using research-driven practices
- Programs to be implemented through classes during student day as well was before and after school for student-athletes
- Improve student performance, reduce athletic injuries, and teach lifelong fitness and movement skills
- Develop training plans according to sound scientific principles with the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Professional Standards Guidelines, supervise training sessions, evaluate athletes, maintain athletes’ records, and instruct strength and conditioning classes utilizing a co-teaching model
- Meet regularly with sport coaches regarding training programs, player injuries and rehabilitation, and consult with athletic training staff
- Maintain the strength and conditioning facility including establishing policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility
- Facilitate a collaborative relationship among all students, athletes, coaches, staff, parents, and the community with open channels of communication
- Any and all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-Physical Therapy, Strength and
Conditioning, or related field
2. Professional certification by an independent accreditation agency such as the NSCA
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, preferred
