Assistant Director, International Admissions

Position Details

This position is designated as an essential employee and may be required to report to work as scheduled when University offices are closed due to severe weather or other conditions.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality international students within designated geographic regions.

2. Outreach and Communication: Cultivate relationships with international high schools, educational consultants, agents and other stakeholders to promote the institution and its programs.

5. Collaboration: Collaborate with academic departments, international student services, residence life and other campus units to facilitate a smooth transition for admitted international students.

7. Events and Outreach: Represent the institution at international events, fairs, and educational exhibitions to promote our programs and establish partnerships. Participate in on-campus recruitment events as required.

8. Training and Development: Stay informed about trends and best practices in international admissions, provide training to admissions staff and stakeholders as needed.

9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant immigration regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies governing international student admissions.

10. Other duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned during the annual admission cycle.

11. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in international admissions or related areas, preferably within a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of international education systems, standardized testing, and visa regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural competency skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
