**_Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center_** is a busy, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center. We are looking for a top-performer with solid knowledge of Operating Room Nursing.
**Job Summary**: The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing a surgical procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the young adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 6 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, plastic and general surgery.
- Addresses the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs/responses of the patient.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change.
- Demonstrates a positive can do attitude
- Work is accurate and complete
- Demonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standards
- Functions as a team member
- Completes initial and annual competencies as required.
- Maintains licenses and certifications.
- Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break and rest periods
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Attends required department meetings.
- Assumes responsibility for continuing education requirements
- No nights, weekends, evenings, holidays or on call
**Required Skills**:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse
- Current in CPR and ACLS
- Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
- Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse
USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
