Summary:
Responsible for picking merchandise or other materials for production. Responsible for staging of material and correctly documenting shortages and for maintaining records.

Essential Responsibilities: (Note other duties may be assigned.)
- Responsible for picking or placing material on/off racks, staging material for shipment verification, and ensuring accuracy of part numbers and quantities.
- Moves palletized or unitized loads, withdraws or positions loads in a rack.
- Stocks and inventories material as it arrives and returns unused material to stock locations.
- May search for missing lots.
- May operate a manually controlled rider type gasoline or electric powered trucks to transport materials about the warehouse or plant.
- Maintain daily inspection and check list of powered industrial trucks and reports any safety problems.
- Maintains constant surveillance over incoming stock to ensure filling of any production parts shortages and reports any filled shortages.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy in reading the pick lists.
- Responsible for completing material transactions and for ensuring accuracy on all material transactions
- Accurately counts materials and ensures that correct type and number of parts are staged in the Assembly Pre-Issue area.
- May need to perform a regular running inventory (Cycle Count) as directed by Supply Chain Management due to part shortages or inventory discrepancies and notifies their immediate supervisor or their designee of any discrepancies.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
- Follows all safety rules and instructions.
- Works with mínimal supervision and checks all work.
- Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

- Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred experience: Prior Manufacturing Experience
- Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, work orders, pick lists, sales order, etc.
- Ability to keep accurate records and reports.
- Ability to use and operate a scale.
- Ability to use powered industrial trucks, portable ladders, hand carts, staple gun, basic hand and power tools, banding equipment, and packaging tools.
- Ability to work closely with other departments.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
