The HR Director will work within our Administration Department and provide guidance on various matters related to Labor, Employment and Human Resources, as well as support the Department as needed.
- **Duties and responsibilities **_
- Responsible for providing advice to the Human Resources team lead, as well as other staff as required, in all areas of Labor & Employment policies, HR compliance, development, implementation of policies and procedures, and training of staff.
- Responsible for supporting, along with VP and HR Team, taking newly-hired employees through the onboarding process, including all required paperwork; preparing, explaining, and handling along with the employee, all health insurance paperwork and addressing any questions in that regard.
- Managing the off-boarding procedures when an employee resigns or is terminated from the Foundation, including preparing all necessary paperwork, a Separation Agreement, providing COBRA information for temporary continuation of health benefits, and handling of Unemployment paperwork (when applicable).
- Responsible for drafting and review documents and contracts, including employment offer letter and Separation Agreement templates, among others; work collaboratively with the team to address organization-wide legal needs; engage relationships with outside counsel; and assist in ensuring compliance of laws and regulations (federal and all states, where applicable), including implementation of any and all necessary and required courses, drills and paperwork.
- **Qualifications**_
- Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources management experience.
- Experience practicing Labor & Employment Law a plus.
- Deep understanding of labor laws, wage and hour, and employment regulations.
- Possess a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload, and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Related HR degree and/or certification is a plus.
- Possess a strong knowledge of Labor & Employment Law and an understanding of the non-profit sector.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and contribute to the positive working environment of the Foundation.
- **Working conditions**_

Special Working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events such as: NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
